Prado 11 is located in the semi-basement of a block of flats in Bellvitge; in the rest of the neighborhood blocks, the semi-basements are used as another dwelling, but in Prado, since the building is owned by the local public administration, the semi-basements are rented to entities. Since 2012, LaFundició has had its physical space in Prado 11, a place that opens up to restore ways of doing things in common that now seem strange to us but that have historically been part of our spaces of resistance and power. In Prado, we settle down and recognize in neighborhood relations a form of creation.
Prado 11 is open to proposals and collaboration from local residents and all those people and groups interested in ideas and practices that care for cultural democracy and the sustenance of life. A space in which to be —doing something or not—, collaborate on a proposal, or propose something.
