Yesterday marked the beginning of the second edition of one of the least publicized (and strangest) music festivals in Barcelona: the La Plaça Odisea festival. Born from the chimerical alliance between the Maremagnum leisure-commercial center and the mythical (historically and biographically speaking) Depo bar in L’Hospitalet, the festival seems to have lost a bit of steam (either that or they’ve rethought their approach, we don’t really know), and apparently this year there are no activities alongside the concerts. From tonight’s heterogeneous lineup, we’re most excited about Za, one of the “Barcelona underground” bands that has generated the most buzz lately. The truth is that Za performs live quite often, so the performance itself isn’t news, the news is that the La Plaça Odisea concert is free, haha.
Here’s the link to the (fucking) Za’s Myspace, and to illustrate this informative post, we’re throwing in the video of the Copyfake label presentation that Miquel Noguera did at the previous edition of the festival… what a guy!
