We’ve written a little book
29.5.25

We’ve written a book. It feels a bit strange to say it. Perhaps it’s better to say we’ve written a little book, one that weighs less.

It’s called ‘The School Without Walls. Art, School and Community Weavings’ It’s called The School Without Walls. Art, School and Community Weavings and has been published by the Consorci de Museus de la Comunitat Valenciana and by the València node of the Planea Network, driven by the Permea Master’s programme. It’s very likely that we would never have dared to write it without the conviction and encouragement of Clara Boj. We take this opportunity to thank her, and also Elena Sanmartín, for all their support and collaboration.

With the text we’ve tried to systematise and share some experiences, intuitions and ideas – things we’ve encountered while connecting what happens in classrooms and schools with the territory they are part of and the people who inhabit it.

This is the third issue in the ‘Art and Curriculum’ series, aimed at the educational community with the intention of being a useful tool in practice, but also of exploring and raising questions.

Well then, the book will be launched this Saturday 31 May at 1 p.m. at the Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània, within the framework of the Territorial Meeting between the different collaborating centres of PLANEA in the Comunitat Valenciana node, which have taken part in the projects carried out during the 2024/25 school year.

The image accompanying this announcement corresponds to llocs, one of the processes we discuss in depth in the book, developed in collaboration with the Escola Prat de la Manta in l’Hospitalet 25 years ago.
