New Advisory Board for ‘Des de ja’
25.3.26

A couple of weeks ago we held the Advisory Board for issue 13 of “Des de ja” at the Biblioteca Florida. “Des de ja” is the magazine we publish at the Des dels blocs Editorial Lab.

The Advisory Board is a debate space to which we invite residents of the city — and beyond — with different professional profiles and personal backgrounds, to discuss and take note of the issues that affect the city and that may be of interest to us and to the readers of “Des de ja”.

‘Des de ja’ is neither a newspaper nor a current affairs magazine, as we publish ‘only’ two issues a year. Therefore, its content requires in-depth treatment and must attempt to analyze the underlying currents that give rise to events typically considered newsworthy. But even more importantly, it must detect and describe those invisible currents that cause long-term changes and rarely, if ever, appear in the news.

Beyond its function (and now we speak as participants), the Advisory Board is itself a space for democratic participation, where we debate and decide, as neighbors and residents, what we should pay attention to, and where we need to look. This is crucial, because often the media spotlight is placed on only a small part of reality.

Marga Babiano, Pep Balaguer, Jordi Ballart, Lèlia Becana, Rita Bosser, Manuel Domínguez, Mercè Duch, Manuel Florido, Núria Giráldez, David Granizo, Sara Huertas (AMPAs Endavant), Sole Pérez, Ferran Polo, Jesús Rodríguez, Francisco Rubio, Raúl Rubio, Trini Rubio, and Marta Vallejo participated in this edition of the Advisory Board. We especially thank Jesús Rodríguez, investigative journalist at La Directa, for his participation.

The ‘Des dels blocs’ Editorial Laboratory is a project developed with the support of the Network of Municipal Libraries (of the Barcelona Provincial Council through the CoCrea BiblioLab program).
