30.3.10

The time has come: after more than a year of participatory action-research work in the neighborhood of Can Mas (Ripollet) with various action groups (students from
CEIP El Martinet
and
IES Can Mas
, neighbors) the moment has arrived in which the
Open-roulotte
will begin to take shape. From April 11 to 16 we are organizing the workshop to tune the caravan that is the base of the future Open-roulotte, a light and mobile infrastructure that should serve anyone who requests its use to organize events in public space: a meal, a chess championship, a hacklab, a popular dance, video projections… the possibilities are completely open to the initiative of all its users/managers. That is why during the workshop we will also start work to collectively design the citizen and democratic management body of the Open-roulotte.

We will be accompanied throughout the workshop by various groups that are developing initiatives related to the Open-roulotte, projects that explore the political and cultural possibilities of the collective management of knowledge and the creation and management of common spaces. Throughout the week we will chat and have snacks with people from
Aulabierta
,
Nautarquia
,
Straddle3
and
Copiratas
, while they lend us a hand in the construction of the Open-roulotte ;). In addition, throughout the week we will collaborate with FAAQ in organizational and construction tasks because, as the Bruja Avería said: “You can’t do it alone, but with friends you can“.

The call is open to anyone who wants to participate and contribute things (throughout the week, for a day or for a few hours, any help is welcome); it is not necessary to “sign up”, but if you send us an email to hola@lafundicio.net it will be easier for us to organize the logistics.

You have, after the “Continue reading“, all the information about the program and how to get to the places where the workshop will be held. We are waiting for you!
