loLABS Bellvitge
, the node of the
loLABS
network that LaFundició coordinates in our space in the Bellvitge neighborhood (L’Hospitalet), is now underway. loLABS is a network of community experimentation laboratories with technologies.
loLABS Bellvitge is a space open to the residents of Bellvitge and all those who want to learn, experiment, and share their knowledge about technologies: new and old (because the power lies in the meeting between the esparto basket and the Arduino board).
loLABS aims to test the possibilities of new technologies by inserting them into specific social contexts and juxtaposing and remixing them with other technological knowledge: low-tec, traditional, obsolete, and/or buried: neighbors playing role-playing games with figures made on the neighborhood’s 3D printer, flamenco dancers experimenting with Valdelomarian tactile vision… The network is an initiative of LaFundició, Salah Malouli, and
FAAQ
, who respectively coordinate the nodes in Bellvitge, Casablanca, and Granada.
loLABS Bellvitge begins its public activity with a 3D printer assembly workshop with the Free Software Group of Navarra, between March 18 and 24. We will soon offer detailed information about this workshop. In the meantime, you can find more information about the future
