The Open-roulotte Goes for Migas

Last Sunday, March 7th, we participated in the
XXXII Migas Contest of Can Mas
, where we presented some pink, glittery migas, also pink: the


Open-roulotte migas


. The “action” aimed to introduce the
Open-roulotte
project to the residents of Can Mas, and it certainly attracted curiosity, although it did not win the contest. Organized by the Associació de Veïns i Veïnes de Can Mas, the contest is one of the most popular events in the neighborhood, both for its social impact and the number of attendees, and an example of a community cultural use of public space. We were already present last year with the radio device and regarding the

Special Day of the Martinet

, which coincided in time and space with this gastronomic event.

As can be seen in the photos, we installed the roulotte on the esplanade of the Primer de Maig park, next to the rest of the participants, we distributed leaflets/posters of the project and informed about the working groups that will soon be formed to tune and effectively launch the Open-roulotte.

For their part, some students from the
IES Can Mas
who stopped by were chatting and interviewing the attendees, a material that will be added to the sound archive of the
Open-roulotte Ràdio
.

From here, our most sincere thanks to Manoli Perera and Manuel Rubio for their invaluable work in the roulotte’s kitchen: in addition to a striking glitter pink color, the migas had an exquisite flavor of genuine Extremaduran migas.
