An initiative of Piki, our neighbor from Gornal, who joins the social and solidarity economy of l’Hospitalet with the accompaniment of La Col·lectiva, the Ateneu Cooperatiu of l’Hospitalet of which we are part as a promoting entity. La Granja del Tillo is a cooperative dedicated to the ecological production of eggs, and will soon be installed on the farm of Les Cabasses, in the Parc Agrari del Baix Llobregat.
As we often say, Les Cabasses is a space for material and symbolic production, an infrastructure from which to test forms of agroecological food production within the framework of the social and solidarity economy, and at the same time a place from which to investigate and produce agropolitan imaginaries and cultural practices. It is important to note that this initiative also connects with lines of work of long standing, initiated long ago with the Keras Buti project which, initially, was promoted in collaboration with the Lacho Baji Cali association with the aim of exploring the relationship between the ways of life historically associated with the Gypsy People, the economies and peasant cultures and the social and solidarity economy as a contemporary practice, taking as a starting hypothesis and guiding principle the action of “gypsying the world”, as proposed by Silvia Agüero and Nicolás Jiménez.
