La Bomba. Route through the old neighborhood with local residents

We’re going back on the road. On Saturday, May 21, we will walk through the places where the disappeared neighborhood of La Bomba was located. The route has been organized among the attendees of the history workshop that we opened  every Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the
Casal Cívic Hospitalet – Gornal
, former residents of the neighborhood. What better way to learn about the memory of a place than to walk through it? We will look for traces of a past whose memory has been almost completely erased from the hand of those who inhabited it. The territory that was once occupied by the Bomba shacks has given way toa landscape dominated by shopping centers, luxury hotels, industrial warehouses and vacant lots. An essential route to better understand the transformations of the contemporary city and its peripheries during the last century. We are waiting for you!

The route will start at 11 AM in front of the Casal Cívic Hospitalet – Gornal, at the end of Avenida Carmen Amaya del Gornal. You can arrive by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (Gornal stop) or by Metro (L9, Gornal stop) or by bus with the L94 line. You will find a map here.
