The
Memory Communities Network
project begins to materialize in collective mapping workshops in the neighborhood of Trinitat Vella and in the district of Ciutat Vella in Barcelona on February 24 and 27, starting at 11 AM at the Trinitat Vella-José Barbero Library in Trinitat Vella, and starting at 6 PM at the District Headquarters in Ciutat Vella.
In these workshops, we want to place on an online map the agents, initiatives, and interests or controversies linked to past events and their present memories in the territories, in order to explore possible connections between diverse initiatives. We want to take advantage of the workshop to collectively learn about and discuss the memories of these territories and think together about what community cultural creation initiatives could be articulated around them.
Comunitats de memòria is a project that we are developing within the framework of the Cultura Viva program of the Institut de Cultura of the Barcelona City Council. You can learn more here.
