Idensitat is a ¿call? currently directed by Ramon Parramon and coordinated by Oriol Fontdevila, which has become a national benchmark in what has been called “public art.” We think (and we are not the only ones) that public art has one (or more) dark side(s) – some of them pointed out by Aida Sánchez de Serdio in this text that we linked some time ago – however, one of the strengths of Idensitat may be that it has taken up the criticisms and included reflection on this label, problematizing it, in its own discourse.
