Throughout the months of October and November 2012, the
Artibarri
network, of which we have been members for several years, is offering a training course under the title
Artistic Practices, Participation, and Social Change
. You have the entire program in great detail here.
The course aims to “train in participatory artistic projects and community action as cornerstones for improving personal and collective well-being” and will explore “the praxis and trajectories of the entities and people that make up Artibarri” and also its “accumulated and shared knowledge base“.
We are participating with
Artixoc
on the fourth day, November 24, which focuses on the artistic disciplines from which one can work on community artistic projects. As this question is quickly resolved: both our colleagues from Artixoc and ourselves will try to rethink other issues related to our practices that have more to do with the role and position of artists in collective processes of cultural creation.
