The Premiere of ‘L’herència’
9.6.11

This Thursday, June 9 at 8 p.m. we are premiering
L’herència
, yes, that series that we have been immersed in since the beginning of the course together with the students of the Institut Guillem Catà in the Espai Memòries. 20th century laboratory of the Museu Comarcal de Manresa.

The premiere is part of the inauguration of the exhibition Aprendre de l’escola. Manresa s. XX , in which the work processes developed during all these months in the production of L’herència and the
Arxiu en procés
project, which, in parallel, has been carried out by the team formed by Dani García, Oriol Luján and Laia Ramos, will be shown.

In truth, L’herència is not only a historical fiction about some facts related to pedagogy throughout the 20th century created by the students of the Institut Guillem Catà, it also shows the results and the process of research and collaboration with other educational centers in Manresa (the nstitut Pius Font i Quer, the Centre d’Iniciatives per l’Ocupació, the Escola d’Art de Manresa and the Aula d’Arts Escèniques del Kursaal), as well as a good number of interviews and testimonies of people related to the pedagogical renovation movements in Manresa or who, simply, went to school in different historical periods, which have also been carried out by the students themselves.

The work processes of L’herència have been complex, and have had high and low moments; although we have not always achieved it, we have tried at all times to collectivize these processes to the greatest extent possible, so that all the people who have participated in the project have the opportunity to get involved with the same degree of responsibility and freedom.

In the future we plan to upload the videos to the network, although after the binge and the final editing sprint that we have done, we will take a little break :P

Both the Aprendre de l’escola exhibition and the Espai Memòries project, in its first season, have been curated by Oriol Fontdevila. If you come, we’ll see you there!
