The Bordergames Entanglement
5.11.07

Next November 12, 13, 14 and 15, you can attend, if you wish, the Bordergames Torque workshop, organized by the Bordergames networks of Figueras, Barcelona, Lavapiés and Alhucemas at the TEB in Barcelona. Bordergames is a project by La Fiambrera Obrera that initially proposes a group of young migrants from the Lavapiés neighborhood (Madrid) to design and build a video game that addresses, through the simulation characteristic of the medium, experiences and situations of their daily life; later the project has spread to several nodes that have acquired a certain degree of autonomy. The Bordergames weblog offers an exhaustive follow-up of the project’s development (in its various locations) and you can also download the beta of the game (Lavapiés version) here. On the other hand, Torque is a suite of video game development tools, basically an editor and a graphics engine, which stands out for its relatively simple and intuitive use. And so that you don’t miss anything, you will find a pdf with the complete workshop program right here.
