For those who plan their schedule well in advance (not exactly our case…), the Observatori del Públics, together with the Technical Team of the Museu Marítim de Barcelona, are organizing a practical course on educational projects in museums, which starts in September… The course aims to address the distance that generally separates education departments in museums from educational centers, and the limited relationship established between education technicians in museums and school teachers; a fairly obvious state of affairs that really deserves attention that is not always given. Elsewhere, we have commented that the success of any proposal that seeks to bridge this distance depends on establishing stable working networks with teachers and students (and with other entities on a micro and macro scale) capable of generating more cooperative and less hierarchical knowledge construction processes than is usual.
