Between yesterday and today, the seminar-conference ‘René Schérer: com volem ser educats?’ has been held at the MACBA. We have been so busy these days with Operación Rayo Amarillo in projecte3* that we have not been able to even announce it on this blog, and we have only been able to attend, by the skin of our teeth, this afternoon’s session.
The seminar has revolved around the reactions that René Schérer’s book, L’Emile Perverti (1970 and 2006), translated into Spanish with the misleading title La pedagogía pervertida (Barcelona, Laertes, 1984), has provoked. The conference and seminar were organized by the research group led by Manuel Asensi at the UAB and by the MACBA. As far as we could understand, the intention is that a counter-pedagogical manifesto will emerge from the seminar. We will await the publication of the manifesto with interest, and if they arrive, see the reactions it provokes in the educational field…
