During this
Nido Textil
is visiting us, represented by Daniela Pizarro, one of its members, who will be developing a work process throughout the month that combines sewing, cooking, and horticulture, placing them in the context of Bellvitge; thus, we will pay attention to the plants in our recently arranged community garden-orchard in the Prado 11 flowerbed, as well as the plants and ecosystems of Cal Trabal, the last agricultural area of L’Hospitalet, currently threatened by urban development plans. To be able to think, imagine, and share popular knowledge about plants and the rural past and present of Bellvitge, we will use sewing and cooking.
Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of the month we will be with Daniela in the space working on this process with neighbors, friends, acquaintances, and visitors. We will be reporting promptly on the development of the process and the specific actions that we will be proposing.
Next Wednesday, July 5 at 7:00 PM we will inaugurate an exhibition of textile works made by Nido Textil in Chile in collaboration with various collectives, while presenting their proposal for the LaFundició space. While we chat, we can intervene in the exhibited pieces.
We are waiting for you!
