CICdB. Exhibition at L’Harmonia
5.12.18

Next Thursday, December 13, at 6:30 PM, at
L’Harmonia
(artistic space of the Museu d’Història de L’Hospitalet), we are inaugurating a very special exhibition for us, which shows the work done during the last three years together with a group of residents of Bellvitge and el Gornal, former inhabitants of the shantytowns south of the Gran Via, in L’Hospitalet (and especially of the neighborhood of La Bomba).

The exhibition includes images and archive documents, as well as others produced in the History Workshop of the
CICdB
(Interpretation Center of the City from the Shantytown) that every Thursday, during all this time, we have opened in different spaces, mainly in the Bellvitge-el Gornal Cultural Center. Or in various actions organized together with the Associació Lacho Baji Cali of Gornal in which the memory of the informal settlement of La Cadena has been addressed.

The History Workshop is a meeting place and collective work space, from which several proposals have already emerged such as La Sardinada (meeting of former residents of the shantytowns of L’Hospitalet), the future monument project to the residents of La Bomba, the CICdB newsletters, an informal archive or this exhibition itself.

We want to thank all the people who collaborate and are part of the CICdB for having built and shared with us a memory that allows us to understand the present city in another way, richer and more powerful.
