We Will be Talking about ‘the Rearguards of the Revolution’ at Arts Santa Mònica

Next Wednesday we will be at Ars Santa Mònica, invited by Interfícies, the center’s mediation project, participating in an informal meeting (with snacks) to talk about “care, vulnerabilities, and cultural practices.”

As Interfícies proposes for the meeting: «[…]review what this care work means these days within cultural practices, putting life at the center and care not as an object to investigate, but as a material and social condition that crosses us all, whether we are mothers, fathers, siblings, daughters/sons, or colleagues in some initiative. To this end, we propose an informal day inviting various people and initiatives from the city to share their experiences, lifestyles, and ways of caring for themselves and co-creating. We will have small presentations from LaFundició,

and Javier Basses,

Certainly, things like parenting have been very present throughout these years in LaFundició, and to a large extent, the cooperative form has allowed us to reconcile, not without difficulties and tensions, parenting with work, in a field like culture, marked by precariousness.
