Gardening Cartography
11.11.09

A few weeks ago, the friends of
Aulabierta
published the cartography of Aulagarden. Made by
FAAQ
, project coordinators, together with the collective Oopart, the cartography is displayed on two sides that summarize the two years of operation of Aulagarden
; you have more information and you can download the cartography here on the project blog.

Aulagarden‘s main objective is to build a garden around Aulabierta (within the Faculty of Fine Arts of Granada) “that allows the direct participation of students in the design and management of it. The aim is to reflect on urban sustainability and experiment with participatory methodologies in the creation of self-training and knowledge production communities.

Aulagarden is defined as a “garden-network” in that it involves agents from different disciplines (fine arts, architecture, botany, environmental, landscaping…) and positions inside and outside the academic field (students, teachers, technicians and external collaborators) while aiming to be an experience that can be extrapolated to other university spaces or even other areas of the city.
