Initially, Aula a la deriva was made up of Oriol Fontdevila,
Javier Rodrigo
,
Sinapsis
, Sitesize and ourselves, and was conceived not as a project, but rather as a platform that would allow us to join forces in the development of cultural work processes in various places with which we already had some relationship. Thus, Aula a la deriva joined or assembled with diverse agents and contexts with the will to establish collaborations, as far as possible, in a horizontal way. These work processes, which in many cases did not have a pre-set objective, which is why we call them ‘drifts’, were in turn offered as collective learning opportunities to which all those people who were interested could join, whether or not they had any relationship with the contexts in which they occurred.
Despite having very few resources, we have remained linked to the processes, people and groups with whom we collaborated in 2011. Now we have taken the plunge and, with the collaboration of the
Ala Plástica
collective, we have “self-organized” an itinerary through three Argentine cities (La Plata, Rosario and Buenos Aires) during which we will share and discuss our experience and hope to learn about that of numerous groups that work there from the field of culture in relation to the social context and especially with the environment.
Last Monday, November 12 Joan Vilapuig (from Sitesize) participated in an intensive working day with the team from the
La Grieta
group and the exhibition that we have taken there was inaugurated. Yesterday, Thursday, November 15, Mariló accompanied Joan in the public day and meeting with local initiatives in La Plata.
In Rosario we will be on Tuesday, November 20 presenting Aula a la deriva 2012 at the
Centro Cultural Parque de España
and the following day (Wednesday, November 21), also at the Centro Cultural Parque de España, sharing a workshop with the
El Levante
collective and other local initiatives.
Finally, in Buenos Aires we will inaugurate the Aula a la deriva 2012 exhibition in the space of the platform
La Dársena
on Saturday December 1 and we will organize two working days on Tuesday, December 4 and Thursday, December 6.
We hope that the off-itinerary is as or more interesting than the programmed activities and we are sure that everything will be useful. Those of us who have stayed in Barcelona getting our hands dirty only hope that Joan and Mariló will report on the Aula a la deriva 2012 website everything that happens 😉 If you are interested in this Argentine drift of Aula a la deriva 2012 there you can find all the available information.
