The people of Aulabierta, along with Daredevil and The Spirit, are among our favorite superheroes. Aulabierta is, as they explain it themselves and as we have already reviewed on another occasion, “a design and construction experience of a self-managed learning community, within the University of Granada, by its own students. Aulabierta is a space, consequently open, that tries to constitute an active community in the research and production of knowledge.” Well, that’s it. So here are a couple of entries about their upcoming training activities (we’re going in chronological order).
First Aulagarden: SEMINAR-WORKSHOP “SUSTAINABLE INTERVENTIONS IN URBAN SPACE. PRACTICAL CASE: ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN OF THE AULABIERTA ENVIRONMENT. Extensive information about the seminar here.”
On Saturday the 15th and Sunday the 16th, Iñigo Segurola Arregui is giving a theoretical-practical workshop (yes, yes, the one from Bricomanía, who, in addition to being the director, producer, and presenter of the gardening section of this entertaining program, is a Technical Agricultural Engineer and Landscaper…). We signed up a while ago, and we’re going to Granada in a few weeks. Now the places are sold out, which gives you an idea of the power of these guys/girls. As you can see, Aulabierta uses the training activities it organizes to advance the construction, both of the container and the contents, of the project, while offering training with academic validity and which, in many cases, is more interesting for students than that offered by the University itself.
More soon.
