This issue is a portrait\u2014made through texts, images, and documents\u2014of the <strong>Soriano Villanueva<\/strong> and <strong>Salinas Gil<\/strong> families, explained by <strong>Narciso Soriano Salinas<\/strong>, a descendant of both families who spent his childhood in the neighborhood of <strong>La Bomba<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>The history of the shantytowns, the informal settlements in the metropolitan area of Barcelona and in L&#8217;Hospitalet specifically, has often been forgotten; we think it should be recovered, since it is, among many other things, a history of struggle and dignity.
