{"id":5917,"date":"2018-02-28T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-02-28T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lafundicio.net\/noticia\/exposicion-tapices-colectivos\/"},"modified":"2018-02-28T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2018-02-28T00:00:00","slug":"exposicion-tapices-colectivos","status":"publish","type":"noticia","link":"https:\/\/lafundicio.net\/en\/noticia\/exposicion-tapices-colectivos\/","title":{"rendered":"Exhibition &#8220;Collective Tapestries&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lafundicio.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Expo-Tapices-colaborativos.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3122 aligncenter\" src=\"..\/wp-content\/uploads\/_imported\/21_1656614408.jpg\" alt=\"Collaborative Tapestries Expo\" width=\"450\" height=\"636\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next <strong>Tuesday, March 6<\/strong> at <strong>6 PM<\/strong>, we are opening a very special exhibition at the <strong>Bellvitge-el Gornal Cultural Center<\/strong> that showcases the textile work developed by various groups in <strong>L&#8217;Hospitalet<\/strong> and in <strong>Santiago de Chile<\/strong> and promoted by <strong>LaFundici\u00f3<\/strong> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nidotextil.com\"><br \/>\n  <strong>Nido Textil<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/a>, separately or in collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>These are collectively made tapestries that reflect on or address various social or political issues linked to a historical moment or a specific territory:<\/p>\n<p><em><br \/>\n  <strong>Homage to the collective work of UNCTAD III<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/em> is a tapestry sewn in 2016 by the <strong>Community of Practice of the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center<\/strong> in Santiago de Chile, at the proposal of the Nido Textil collective and with the collaboration of the documentary filmmakers <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/user8633490\"><br \/>\n  <strong>War Diaries<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/a>, which is a restitution, and at the same time a tribute, to the disappeared tapestry embroidered by the <strong>Embroiderers of Isla Negra<\/strong> on the occasion of the <strong>United Nations Conference on Trade and Development<\/strong> organized in Santiago de Chile in 1972 during the government of <strong>Allende<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>What will the cities of the future eat?<\/strong> <\/em>It is a tapestry made by <strong>residents of Bellvitge<\/strong> during the residency in the <strong>physical space of LaFundici\u00f3<\/strong> in 2017 by <strong>Daniela Pizarro<\/strong>, a member of the Nido Textil collective, and which addresses issues related to the food sovereignty of the territories, in relation to the area of <a href=\"https:\/\/nomesblocs.wordpress.com\"><br \/>\n  <strong>Cal Trabal<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/a>, where the last agricultural lands of L&#8217;Hospitalet are located.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, <em><strong>Goodbye to the blocks?<\/strong> <\/em>is a tapestry sewn by the <strong>Women&#8217;s Group of the Ana D\u00edaz Rico Municipal Center<\/strong> and <strong>residents of La Florida<\/strong> over the last two years at the proposal of LaFundici\u00f3 and in which Daniela Pizarro also collaborated during her stay. The tapestry-map, in which the mola technique used by some native peoples of <strong>Colombia<\/strong> and <strong>Panama<\/strong> has been used, represents the <strong>blocks of La Florida<\/strong> and reflects on their past and their future. <\/p>\n<p>During the exhibition, the films <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=uJR2LDhrd5c\"><br \/>\n  <em><br \/>\n    <strong>Gas Escape<\/strong><br \/>\n  <\/em><br \/>\n<\/a> and <em><br \/>\n  <strong>Recipe Book<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/em> will be screened; the first is the work of the Chilean documentary filmmaker <strong>Bruno Salas<\/strong> and deals with the connection of artistic and cultural practices with the <strong>UNCTAD<\/strong> conference of 1972, and the second, by the Chilean documentary filmmakers collective <strong>War Diaries<\/strong>, filmed during their residency in the physical space of LaFundici\u00f3 in the summer of 2017, reflects the life trajectory of different residents of Bellvitge and La Florida through the recipes they prepare in front of their camera.<\/p>\n<p>We are waiting for you!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":1533,"template":"","categories":[],"class_list":["post-5917","noticia","type-noticia","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/lafundicio.net\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/noticia\/5917","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/lafundicio.net\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/noticia"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/lafundicio.net\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/noticia"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/lafundicio.net\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/1533"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/lafundicio.net\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=5917"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/lafundicio.net\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=5917"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
