During that period, 34 artists were invited to incorporate their art into the architecture.

One of them, the sculptor Félix Maruenda, built a large minimalist chimney, which would serve to release the gases from the building’s popular dining room. Another of the pieces exhibited was the tapestry of the Embroiderers of Isla Negra, which is honored by the collective tapestry promoted by the
Cooperativa de Oficios Nido Textil
.

After the coup d’état of September 11, 1973, the building was used by the Military Junta and renamed the Diego Portales Building. Most of the works of art were destroyed and disappeared (including the tapestry of the Embroiderers of Isla Negra).

Through the story of the protagonists of the construction of the building and archive images of the time, the film invites us to immerse ourselves in the spirit and ideals of that time, which made possible a collective dream materialized in the Unctad III Building.

["post-5913","noticia","type-noticia","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
