The metropolitan chiringuito
\n Exit<\/a>
\n<\/b> recently presented its self-training program for the autumn<\/b> of 2009<\/b>, focused on “the crisis of politics<\/i>” and “the question of urban government<\/i>.” The program raises particularly interesting questions for us, such as: What is the contemporary metropolis and what relationships does it establish between the social and economic fields? What is the right to the city? How is government exercised through urban configurations? How to constitute powerful metropolitan resistances? <\/p>\n

The program was in fact presented last October 16<\/b>, with the intervention of Joan Subirats<\/b> (political scientist, professor Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona<\/b>) Eva Fern\u00e1ndez<\/b> (President of the Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Barcelona<\/b>, FAVB) and Tom\u00e1s Herreros<\/b> (from the Universidad N\u00f3mada<\/b>). Although we are late to announce the presentation, you can still attend the rest of the sessions, which are scheduled weekly every Friday<\/b> until December 18<\/b> (here<\/a> the complete program). <\/p>\n

The self-educational proposal in Exit is completely coherent with the approach of the chiringuito, as shown by the text that you can find in the section ‘
\n Autoformaci\u00f3n<\/a>
\n<\/b>‘, entitled From Fordism to Post-Fordism. Self-training as an organizational practice in cognitive capitalism , in which self-training is understood as a “<\/span>escape route” in the dialectic of public and private education, capable of generating forms of construction of the common and organization of cognitive workers. The program adds to the proposal launched by the
\n EduFactory<\/a>
\n<\/b> collective to create a ” <\/span>Global Autonomous University“.<\/span><\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

We take this opportunity to point out the strength of self-educational spaces in Barcelona<\/b>, where the
\n Universitat lliure la Rimaia<\/a>
\n<\/b> has also recently opened, in a new self-managed space in the heart of the city.
